Day: 594
Shirt: Modest Mouse - Telephone Wires
Color: Light Blue
Brand: Standard American
Source: I’m pretty sure this is from the Moon Tour, but not positive.  I’ve seen this band A LOT since i was 18 so sometimes the shows blur together..but if i had to guess…thats where i’d say it originated from.  the tag say 2001 but what does that mean..
I dug this record out cause i went to see Mark Kozelek (of Red House Painters) the night before.  he was doing lots of covers on this tour and in other cities he was doing not one but two modest mouse covers.  so i was getting all excited. to my knowledge he did not play any Modest Mouse covers that night, but sometimes with him it is hard to tell.  I did not stay for encore either..so he might of played that or his new Descendents Silly Girl Cover.  i will never know…  but the show was amazing, Just too much time in a folding chair for me.
On a more interesting note.,.Jesus listen to Moon today and realize just how fucking good this record is after over 10 years..it really is amazing. It only gets better

Day: #283 Built To Spill - There’s Nothing Wrong With Love
Color: Off White
Brand: Gildan Heavyweight
Source: 1 Not sure about who reads this blog that are big fans of Built To Spill other than this guy right here.  I only know this is because every once in a while behind all the pictures of his cats you can see a few choice posters on his wall that rep a few quality bands, i.e. Grandaddy, Bob Moulds, and this one BTS.
I’m not exactly sure where or when i first stumbled upon this band, I’m going to have to say it was probably during my days at Heckler Magazine.  the days when Grandaddy started to get popular and i started listening to other music than punk music and was appreciating it.  BTS and Grandaddy were on the top of that list.  Grandaddy for sure was a shoe in because they skateboarded and were right outside Sacramento.
This record “there’s Nothing Wrong With Love was certainly the starter for me. it was all about CAR, that song hooked me.  it was as if Doug was fly fishing and sank one right in my cheek and reeled me in slowly then when "Keep It Like A Secret" came out I had no more fight and He yanked me all the way in.  Here is a version of Car below but it sucks.  the internet needs to get its shit together.  the version on there’s nothing wrong with love is far superior so go find that and listen to it.
