Source: Never in my life did i ever think i would hear myself make the statement that the older i got the more i enjoy the Butthole Surfers.  weird but true.  

what started out as a joke.  my mom bought  a copy of this album:

She thought the album cover was hilarious and even more so in conjunction with the band name.  so ever since i was in Jr high i remember this record.  Once in a great while i would play it knowing that it was something i was supposed to like, but when i heard it it just made me want to turn it off.  I mean i get it.  at the time i was listening to shit like Tears For Fears and the Smiths. so this was just a little to “free Jazzy” for me.  

the last 10-15 years of my life i find my self going back more and more.  uncovering more and more songs i like.  which in my brain seems like the opposite of what you do when you get older.  you tell the young kids to turn this loud ass vomit shit off!!  Nope I’m like Hairway to Stepehen?? bring it on!! It in a weird way is exciting to me.  the band that once i just didn’t get ( i thought be cause i didn’t take drugs, but i am sure that didn’t help) now i can truly say i understand and very much so enjoy.  

Got i hope in another 20 years I’m not saying the same shit about Yanni or Barry Manliow.  FML
