Shirt: the Odd Numbers - Eight One Nine Productions
Color: Tan
Brand: Anvil
Source: Speaking of Skaterock, while this isn’t technically skaterock, its music picked up from skateboarding.  but lets face it , its more of skate Jam (as in the british band the Jam).  any who. so there was a few skate videos with the Odd Numbers in them, for me the one i remember most vividly was “Useless Wooden Toys.”  So weird, i bought a couple 7”s went to a few shows, but i can’t name one single Odd Numbers song.  but i could describe the logo and the video parts the songs were in to a T.  I think this is a good example of on e of those bands that weren’t super serious, and put a lot more effort into the logo than the music.  I dunno maybe they were serious, but just weren’t  as good as they were just fun.  I haven’t heard them in ages, and haven’t ever looked back.  never a good sign
While we are on the topic of useless wooden toys.  this era of skateboarding i want to erase.  not the brands or the people but the trick era.  the “bonking” the nose on stuff.  ollie grabs off of sets of 3 stairs.  and trying to do 5 tricks during the coarse of one 50/50.  i realize it was a necessary stepping stone for skateboarding, but man was it ugly.  no one wants to see Noseblunt to rail to hurricane to novacane to revert.  ever.
Funny watching this video and its horrible quality, will we look back 20 years from now on Avatar, and cringe at how ugly it looks?  man the videocamera has come a long way.
